Friday Fictioneers: Sweet Tooth

Hello, Good evening and Welcome to this motley bunch of chuckleheads who call them selves the Friday Fictioneers. Our leader,  Rochelle  has the unenviable task of holding us together, as she does every week for as long as I remember, some say she was here at the beginning of the internet, when everything was just code.

The idea is to write a piece of flash fiction in 100 words, with a beginning, a middle and an end based on the photo below sent in by Roger Bultot (i’m hoping this last line rhymed, its pleasing) So without further ado, I’ll get my thinking cap on and see what I can come up with.

On My Marks…

Get Set…

GO!!!

The young inherited the Earth, literally.  All the grown-ups died of the plague and left the kids scratching an existence.

A diet of Chocolate and fruit pastilles had left everyone with appaling tummy aches and marauding children high on Calpol and frustratingly revolting Pepto-Bismol roamed the streets craving the next sugar rush.

The self-proclaimed King-of-Fuzhou intersection had left his throne on a tip-off; a rival gang had found a stash of Wham-Bars and Popping-Candy, and were exhibiting signs of hyperglycaemia.

The King coldly watched as his Nemesis stumbled, piss dribbling down his legs and collapsed in a sickly smelling heap.

There we are, more depressing future shocks from the ministry of shrawley walks, with an enormous amount of hyphenation, which isn’t cheating really! 100 words on the nose, enjoy folks!

  2. Your best line was ‘some say she was here at the beginning of the internet, when everything was just code’ 🤣
Nah, really funny take. They won’t be able to eat hard candy for too much longer, with all that sugar!
