I’m leaving on a jet plane, etc

The weathers picking up; it was hot hot hot today as I was packing away the hot tub and rolling it into the garage, lifting it from the ground where the outlet and inlet pipes are, then lowering slowly to the slabs to avoid damage and or crushing disappointment if it should busrt. Which it won’t now, sitting snuggly next to the disused running machine and unpacked away bell tent sitting on said running machine. This fucking summer of wetness has ruined everything, usually the tent is packed up, but everything is bloody wet, and so things get put on the back burner, you’ll understand when you get to my age.

This evening I drove down to the local town which has put a load of bunting up over the main high street. Do not be fooled, the town is still shit but for a couple of weeks it will be shit with bunting. Theres a lot better than bunting in the breeze in Tenbusry Wells I can tell you, even if they have metal warning signs prior to entry telling us that they have boutiques type shops, it’s all bollocks unless you like crystals, dreamcatchers and vaping.

Anyway we are to escape all the Brouhaha of Tenbury and the Scarecrow festival (or something equally dispiriting) of Bromyard for the next 2 weeks. We are off to Croatia, where sadly I’ve learnt I can not fly my drone without letting them know I’m there. This would involve paperwork, of which I really don’t have the stomach for since EE sent me a letter telling me I owe them 20 odd quid, or something. Ive asked for the bill , which they can’t send me via email and a transcript of the conversation I had with them 4 months ago when I brought my contract to what I thought was a efficient close, turns out they need to speak to me again, which will be sadly another hour I will not get back and will not report here, in the dispatches from Clifton. Its not what the fans want to hear.

So expect crystal blue seas and rocky coastlines but none from the air, the international drone police have scuppered that. See you on the sunny side.

  1. Have a lovely time in Croatia, I hope you come back suitably refreshed an invigorated and ready for the challenge of sorting the disputed £20 with EE. I wish you luck, having recently spent nearly a month getting a refund for an item I purchased on ebay I feel I too could benefit from a trip to Croatia, unfortunately my £12,79 refund will not be enough to fund such a trip.
