Been away, burning the four candles at both ends, so eight candles in total. Been iuncapable of writing anything, works getting in the way, in an unappetising way. The exciting new side of the job which lends itself to flying drones around for top secret purposes has had to ground the squadron due to rogue drones taking their propellors and little computer chip souls off into the wild grey yonder and disappear. Unattached and unconcerned that they will probably crash and burn up in an attractive flaming fireball into the sewage filled sea or a clay filled ploughed field to sink or to be smashed up by farm machinery. So that happened; the squadron sits in the mess and the beer pumps are dry.
So the scene is set within my catastrophe of a company for another extravagant come down or work around, will the squadron be grounded indefinitely? Or will we fight to fly another day like some sort of dirty shabby phoenix with holes in its cardigan, under funded and under paid. Thats what I feel at the moment after a couple of weeks reflection, but what can you do? Win the lottery or get my own shit sorted and try and make a few extra quid.
Sometimes you’re allowed to be a bit down, I think it comes when you least expect it. But the good news for me, and possibly bad news for everyone else is that I’m back, and depending on circumstances both beyond and within my control we’ll have to see what happens next. Toodle-Pip.
Oooo, love the phrase: “some sort of dirty shabby phoenix with holes in its cardigan” — hmmm, I wonder what AI would draw? Snort. Glad you are back.

Thanks, I think i’ve found it pretty tough to deal with all the global and national shit going on, so as I really don’t want to write.

Understood. I have been thinking of the Ragtag Prompt as a little peace offering to share.

Yep, there’s a lot of good stuff going on, it’s just being drowned out by the horrific goings on in Ukraine and Gaza not to mention the crooks in Westminster
