After half a lobster at the Red Lion, Stiffkey, there’s little better than walking through the marshes of Stiffkey Meals onto West Sands next to Cabbage Creek looking over to the vast expanses of sand towards Blakeney Point, in order to walk off some of the beer and fish sloshing about in my growing stomach.
we’ve holidayed around there a few times – beautiful.

It’s the mother in law tri-annual visit! It’s lovely and my folks had a caravan in blakeney when I was really young, probably sold it when I was about 8 when interest rates went up to 15%!! We had a massive sand pit

We had a spate of holidays in E Anglia, the fisst one we just wanted to stay in the UK and lucked out by finding Wells. After that we kept going back to the area every few years. I bored the family shitless one year when I took us all to the Dads Army museum in Thetford, but we had a great time watching the seals at Blakeney.

We’re having, so far, a 6 hour teenage disagreement about going to Wales camping. It’s rubbish everything is shit and dripping in rain, etc etc. This summer is what it is. We need to make do but fucking hell its a battle!

You can’t really argue with the rain argument, I used to live in Cardiff. Look on the bright side, one day they will hae left home. Or, you’ll have strangled them Win, win 😆

It’s old hat now but at the time was very dystopian. It’s like an old Doctor Who – imagination 3 Special Effects 0.
